HOPE YOU'RE READY TO CRUISE
altText
Been on vacation last week and this week came down with a cold so I haven't been around much to blog lately. But I did want to stop in today and remind you that this coming Monday, March 7th, the Malt Shop Memories cruise contest begins both on the air and online right here at WHLI.com. This is the second year in a row we've run this and once again one lucky listener is going to win an ocean view cabin for two aboard the Carnival cruise ship "Inspiration" as it sets sail from Tampa to the Bahamas in October. All the details will be up on the web site Monday on how you can enter, what the qualifying prizes will be and how you can book your cabin and recieve a $100 on-board credit by mentioning the codes WHLI or 1100. So be listening on air starting Monday for the contest to begin and check back here often on WHLI.com for additional chances to qualify. Good luck!

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED
altText

The annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is out. This single issue is responsible for 7% of the magazine's entire annual revenue. So they play it up big. They say this year, they're taking a multi-platform approach. They have a Swimsuit app for i-phones and droids. There's even a 3D version for Playstations. The publishers say this year's issue will be on everything with a screen.

Tell me about it. I stopped at the bank this morning...it was on the ATM!!!

APPLE
altText
We reported on the show that Wall Street analysts are predicting by the end of this year, Apple will be the most valuable company in the world. They're raising Apple's projected stock price to $467 a share for the year. Which would give the company a total market value of $433 billion dollars, eclipsing Exxon-Mobil.

I discussed with Bob the various ways Apple has changed our lives. We can now download Cowsills and Travis Tritt singles to a tiny matchbox sized machine. We can now hit an 'app' on our i-phone to find the nearest dry cleaner or sushi restaurant. Thanks to Apple, we're doing stuff today we don't even WANNA do!

THE MOST DISLIKED
altText
New poll out. The 10 most disliked people in sports. Al Davis, the Raiders owner tops the list as the most hated person in sports. Followed by Michael Vick, Jerry Jones, Mark McGwire, Manny Ramirez, Terrell Owens, and...get this; still in the top ten despised sports figures...Bobby Knight! Who I believe is now throwing chairs at the old folks home. I think last week he even tried to choke his nurse. Maybe we can get him to choke Al Davis.
