Salvatore Ferro, President, CEO and part owner of Alure Home Improvements, Inc. of East Meadow, started his career with the company in 1989 as a production manager. After serving in production, sales, and general management roles, he became part owner in the 1990s and finally took on the role of President of Alure Home Improvements in 2002. Since 1946, Alure specializes in siding, windows, roofing, kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishing, sunrooms, dormers and Home Performance. With Ferro’s leadership and remarkable people skills, Alure grew from a small painting contractor to one of the most successful full-service home remodeling companies in the country.
Most notably, Ferro and Alure Home Improvements’ remarkable reputation enabled them to participate in the hit ABC T.V. show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition where they recently completed their sixth home makeover in New York. Alure also sent 22 employees to New Orleans for the show’s 50 state tour finale in 2008, their seventh project for the hit show. Ferro’s leadership, positive attitude, management capabilities, and determination were instrumental to the successful completion of each project.
Ferro has been married for over 20 years, and lives with his wife and three children in Huntington.
