Beatles Story Cast : Sir Ben Kingsley, Brian Wilson, Graham Nash, Jon Voight, Art Garfunkel, Henry Winkler
Singer-songwriter, Seth Swirsky grew up in Great Neck, N.Y., in the 1960s, a huge fan of The Beatles. Wanting to get closer to them than their music could take him, he set out, in 2005, to film people who had a story about themselves and the Fab Four. Armed with just a hand held video camera, he got never-before-heard stories and recollections from the likes of Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Voight to former First Daughter, Luci Baines Johnson and former new York Yankee, bernie Williams. Many of their recording engineers and ex-girlfriends shared some fun and revealing anecdotes as did rock luminaries like The Beach Boys', Brian Wilson, Art Garfunkel, Davy Jones, Graham Nash, Donovan and many more. Submarine
Cast : Craig Roberts, Yasmin Paige, Sally Hawkins, Paddy Considine, Noah Taylor Writer: Richard Ayoade
Meet Oliver Tate, a precocious 15-year-old whose worldview is exceedingly clever and largely delusional (he imagines the outpouring of grief that would spread through Wales if he died). Oliver carries a briefcase, doesn’t agree with everything Nietzsche said but concedes that he had some interesting points, peruses the dictionary for new words (fla•gi•tious, adj, wickedly shameful), and suspects his mother of having an affair with their New Age neighbor. But foremost on Oliver’s mind is finding a girlfriend. Enter Jordana Bevan. Read More Here.
The Trip
Cast : Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon
The glorious English countryside, tantalizing haute cuisine, and Britain's brightest comics add up to the most satisfying road trip movie in years. Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, and director Michael Winterbottom reteam for another comic romp in the vein of their fact-fiction-blurring hit Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story. Coogan and Brydon star as themselves, old friends who wind up together on a tour of quaint restaurants and hotels in the Lake District after Coogan's American girlfriend bails on him. Read More Here.
Bob and The Monster
Cast : Bob Forrest, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Fishbone, Courtney Love, Dr. Drew Writer: Keirda Bahruth
A documentary chronicling the life of charismatic singer/songwriter Bob Forrest, from his days as front man for indie rock band Thelonious Monster, through his life-threatening struggle with addiction, to his triumph and transformation into one of the most influential addiction counselors in the US today.
BOB AND THE MONSTER crafts contemporary footage, animation and compelling interviews with rare archival performances and exclusive personal videos from Bob's past to reveal the complex layers of this troubled, but optimistic soul. Read More here.
Just LIke Us
Cast : Ahmed Ahmed, Ted Alexandro, Sherif Azab
Modern technology and globalization have made the world a much smaller place and caused us to be more interconnected as people, yet cultural misconceptions persist. Through a celebration of culture and comedy, this film uproots the widely held misconception that Arabs have no sense of humor – when in fact they laugh, and are, just like us. Read More Here.
