The expected guilty plea of a Thomas Mascia the New York state trooper accused of faking his own shooting last year was postponed due to questions about his mental health.
The Judge halted the proceeding after several closed-door meetings with the defense attorneys and prosecutors and rescheduled the hearing for May 21.
Mascia was expected to take a plea deal in the case that would’ve seen him serve six months in prison and spend five months on probation.
