The Elwood and Shelter Island school districts will have a re-vote Tuesday June 17th for their budgets. The Two schools original budgets were voted down last month. The districts will present scaled-down spending plans to voters that call for cuts to preschool education, summer school and funding for academic intervention.
If the district’s budget fails on its second try, they will be required to adopt a contingency budget that includes no tax increase from the previous year.
