Four Nassau County police officers have filed a discrimination lawsuit against the department alleging they have been discriminated against because they can’t meet the department’s shaving requirement.
They claim they have been harassed and denied opportunities for advancement and overtime because they suffer from a skin condition that makes shaving painful. Nassau police say they can’t comment on pending litigation.
