Town of Islip officials announced a plan for a $26 million renovation for MacArthur Airport on Wednesday.
Improvement in the main terminal will include upgrades to the electrical and plumbing systems, a new roof and doors and a new baggage handling system will also be installed.
The project, funded in part by federal and state grants, will take about a year to complete.
