New York is expanding its speed cameras in work zones program to including the MTA bridges and tunnels. Gov. Hochul signed legislation on Friday. The expansion would allow the MTA to install speed cameras on its seven bridges and two tunnels across the city.
Violations under this program initially fine the registered vehicle owner $50, increasing to $75 for a second offense within an 18-month timeframe, and then increase to $100 for each subsequent violation.
