(AP) — Elmo is the latest Sesame Street character to roll up his fur to urge kids to get their COVID-19 vaccinations. Following in the steps of Big Bird, Elmo took a vaccine yesterday to promote the new vaccines made for the nation’s youngest kids. In a public service announcement on YouTube, Elmo said there “was a little pinch” but the needle was otherwise OK. Elmo, whose creators peg his eternal age at 3 1/2, got the shot as the government is now making vaccines available to kids under 5.
