The American Farm Bureau released its annual Thanksgiving dinner survey. Thanksgiving meals with all the trimmings are expected to cost 20% more than last year.

The average cost of this year’s holiday meal for 10 is $64.05 up from the 2021 average of $53.31. A 16-pound turkey costs about $28.96, almost $5 or 21% more than the average cost a year ago.

There are several factors for the increase, including  inflation, supply chain interruptions and the avian flu.
