The FBI is investigating Rep. George Santos’ role in the alleged fundraising scheme for a New Jersey veteran’s dying dog.
New Jersey naval veteran Rich Osthoff accused Santos of stealing $3,000 dollars raised on GoFundMe for the lifesaving treatment for his service dog back in 2016 — The dog never got the treatment, because Osthoff said he never got the money.
Osthoff is cooperating with the FBI and is in the process of turning over everything related to the GoFundMe campaign to the agency including texts messages with Santos.
Santos has denied the allegations.
