Former congressman King has tumor removed

Former Long Island congressman Peter King said that he had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his stomach wall.
King told Newsday that he was in “virtually no pain” after the surgery on Monday at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park.
King, who spent 14 terms in the House before deciding not to run for reelection in 2019, said doctors were confident he would not require radiation or chemotherapy.
