Stamp Out Hunger is back Saturday, May 13

After a three-year hiatus, Stamp Out Hunger is back and better than ever, and Island Harvest is excited to once again be participating!
Through this national campaign, the United States Post Office asks residents to leave non-perishable food by their mailboxes for pickup, and the food is then brought to warehouses across the country to be sorted and repacked for distribution into our communities.

This year, the event will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Once the food is collected, the US Postal Service will transport it to a central warehouse, where more than 500 volunteers and staff will sort the items and prepare the food for distribution to our network of member agencies. In 2019, the last year that we participated, this incredible event resulted in the distribution of more than 521,000 pounds of food supplementing over 434,000 meals on Long Island.
