Donors give $1.6M to defense fund after manslaughter charge

Daniel Penny of Islip, who is  facing second-degree manslaughter charges in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely is getting financial support from thousands of online donors. A legal defense fund started by Penny ‘s attorney had raised over $1.6 million.

Penny is due back in court July 17
