A Manhasset man is accused of pointing a gun at a 6-year-old boy who mistakenly left a bag of candy on his doorstep.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police say a mother was driving her kids to dropped off a goody bag off at her friend’s house.
They realized the address may have been incorrect. When the woman’s 6-year-old son returned to retrieve the bag of candy, police say 43-year-old opened the front door and pointed a gun at the child’s head.
Authorities say Wen was arrested and charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. He’s due back in court on Nov. 13.
