Authorities say an Old Bethpage man is accused of assaulting several police officers while resisting arrest over the weekend.
Police responded because the suspect was verbally threatening a 66-year-old woman at home in Old Bethpage.
He violently resisted arrest and hurt two officers, they were sent to the hospital for treatment and are expected to be OK.
