Mets owner Steve Cohen announces a $8B plan to develop area around Citi Field on Tuesday.
The new development, known as Metropolitan Park, will include a Hard Rock Hotel, park space, restaurants and playgrounds, and possibly, a sportsbook and casino.
The proposal would put an estimated 15,000 people to work.
The goal at Metropolitan Park is to build a casino and sportsbook, but a gaming commission license is needed.
