The New York State Gaming Commission says a decision on any downstate casino licenses will likely not be made until late 2025. The Commission says it will the time for zoning and environmental reviews.
There are at least 11 proposals competing for three full casino licenses including the proposal by Las Vegas Sands to build a gaming facility at the site of the Nassau Coliseum.
