Jake’s 58 Casino has groundbreaking for $210M expansion project

A groundbreaking was held Monday morning for the explanation project at Jake’s 58 casino. The renovations include a spa, restaurants, a stage for concerts and refurbished hotel rooms.
The biggest parts of the expansion will be a parking garage that will triple the amount of parking spaces and a 110,000-square-foot building that will double the amount of slot machines.
The Village of Islandia plans to eliminate property taxes once the Jake’s 58 casino expansion is complete, saving village residents hundreds of dollars per year.
