A Queens man who was fishing off Long Beach on Sunday has drowned.
Witnesses say he was on the rocks when he slipped and fell into the water.
First responders arrived within three minutes after getting the emergency call. Officials say the man was pulled out of the water in less than 8 minutes and they immediately began to preform CPR. He was rushed to Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside where he was pronounced dead.
Officials warned the public to stay out of the water and off the rocks since there are no lifeguards on duty until the summer.
