9/11 remembrances across Long Island

Multiple tributes are scheduled today across Long Islanders to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attack.

At Point Lookout Park in Point Lookout, the Town of Hempstead will host its annual Sunrise Memorial Service at 7:30 a.m.

The Town of North Hempstead will host a memorial service at 8:15 a.m. in Manhasset Valley Park

In Riverhead, a prayer service will be held at the Riverhead World Trade Center Memorial Park in Calverton at 10 a.m.

In Hauppauge, Suffolk County Executive Ed Romain will host a memorial service at 12 p.m. at the Armed Forces Plaza on the North Side of the H. Lee Dennison Building.

The Town of Smithtown will hold its memorial service at the 9/11 Memorial Park at 3 p.m.

The Town of Islip will hold its memorial ceremony at 5 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park

In East Meadow, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman will hold a remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m. at Eisenhower Park Field 6

In Babylon, the town will hold  a ceremony at the Hometown Memorial at 6 p.m.

The City of Long Beach will hold a remembrance at 7 p.m. at West Park Avenue and Lafayette Boulevard.
